Biographical Details

    Steve represents banks, finance companies, factors, mezzanine lenders, investment banks and other providers of credit in negotiating and documenting complex financial transactions.  He also assists his clients in successfully navigating workouts and restructurings.

    Steve’s recent transactions include refinancings, acquisition financings, multi-lender and multi-borrower transactions.  Borrowers may be privately owned or public companies.

    Steve frequently lectures on matters of interest to financial institutions at professional organizations, on educational panels and as part of in-house presentations for clients.  Steve has published articles in the National Law Journal, the UCC Law Journal and was a contributor to Asset Based Financing: A Transactional Guide, published by Matthew Bender & Company.

    Steve served as President of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys from 2001 to 2003.  He is also a member of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and serves on the Leadership Council of the Commercial Finance Association Education Foundation.  Steve is active in the Business Section of the American Bar Association as a member of the Committee on Commercial Financial Services, and the Secured Lending, and Syndications and Participations, Subcommittees.
